He's been using it since he was 13 years old (he is now 40) and the "break" when I met him was, apparently, only a couple years. For the last year or so he became progressively controlling, short-tempered bordering on violent (beat his dog, slapped food out of my hand to make a point, shattered some ceramic work of mine with a, starts yelling or gets extremely depressed out of the blue). When he is in a good mood he is the sweetest guy I know. The mood changes are triggered by some trivial little nuisances, and can be only appeased with accommodating whatever new "must-have" he comes up with for example, with having sex in some way that he deems absolutely essential to his well-being at that moment, or with me dropping my plans for the evening (even if all I was planning was to spend some quality time with my teenager) instead I need to be by his side so that he does not feel lonely. He says that his "bad behavior" stems from us (me and my kid) not moving in with him as he wants us to. I, originally, wanted that as well, but his mood swings become worse and worse, I don't even feel it would be safe for us anymore at this point. I kept giving him time frames behave "normally" for a month or two and we move in/get married, but he claims that it's an impossible condition for him to meet, that he knows he "screw up", so I should just accept him as he is and move in/get married to him as is. And then everything somehow magiy be great and he behave normally all the time. There is no for this, right?.. I am so confused, he is like two different people (he was going to a therapist for a while but was not diagnosed with any psy problems, so it's not some bi-polar thing). But I feel like it's two different people one is nice and loving and reasonable, the other one is a mean stupid jerk.
